The first thing you need to remember about forums is this: you need to be a part of the community. You don’t want to go on the forums and promote your affiliate marketing ebook in the body of your forum post. People will label you as a spammer and you’ll get deleted from the forum!

Here are some forum tips you can use to help market your affiliate marketing ebook (or anything else) without ticking off the neighbors.

1) Limit all promotionals to your signature file. most forums allow you to have a signature line allowing you to promote anything you want. Usually the signature file is 5 lines long and you can put any links you want inside.

2) Post meaningful content: You don’t want to post one-liners like “great post!” and that’s great!” over and over again. people will think you’re just in the forum to promote your signature link. Contribute to the discussion meaningfully and you should be OK.

3) Do not refer to you signature file in the body of your post. Most people will say, “Refer to my signature file” when writing a post. This is a no-no in most forums and is as bad as blatantly putting links in the body of the post.
